Purple Sage Salvia leucophyllla 'Point Sal' Plant

Beautiful and adaptable California native with rose-pink flowers and aromatic silver-grey foliage. Tolerant of seaside conditions and clay, highly useful as a groundcover for coastal bluffs or hot inland areas. Attractive to hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. This drought resistant spreader is perfect for bird habitat gardens, erosion control and naturalizing large areas.

The Point Sal Spreader purple sage is a robust spreading shrub that matures to 3 ft. tall, 6 ft. wide. It has similar pale green foliage and light purple flowers as the species, but is valued as a ground cover plant in native gardens for its contrasting foliage color. It is also a good plant for erosion control in combination with other drought tolerant natives that are adapted to warm and dry conditions.

Your plant will be shipped with the roots wrapped in damp paper towels and with plastic and ready to plant upon arrival.Β The plant will be between 8” to 10” in height.
