2015 AAS Winner. Remains the ‘King of Herbs.' Nearly unheard of in the U.S., ‘Persian Basil’ is native to southwest Asia where it’s called ‘reyhan’ and comes with a unique lemony and spicy aroma. Delivers fresh flavor, big leaves, an ornamental habit and a lateness to flower that retards its tendency to turn bitter upon flowering. Silver-green leaves and attractive purple stems make this variety perfect for containers, where it adds robustness to pesto, soups, seafood, salads and pizza.
