The Indian Hawthorn plant is an evergreen shrub with a medium growth rate and is shaped in a dense upright oval form. It has large attractive leathery dark-green oval leaves with clusters of fragrant light-pink flowers in late winter to early spring. Drought tolerant once established. 

The Majestic Beauty cultivar of the Indian Hawthorn is among the largest cultivar available, with big beautiful leaves nearly twice the size as many other Rhaphiolepis.  It can be used as a large dense background shrub or trimmed up to be a small accent tree.  As a tree, they can reach up to 20 feet tall by 15 feet wide.  Prolific pink flowers cover this shrub in Spring and have a mild fragrance. 

Growing Majestic Beauty Indian Hawthorn

• Thrives in well-draining soil, tolerating various soil types including sandy, loamy, or clay soil.
• Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots, then reduce to occasional watering once established.
• Prefers full sun to partial shade, needing at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth.
• Tolerates a wide range of temperatures, including hot summers and cold winters.
• Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth.
• Best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 7 to 9.

Your plant will be shipped with the roots wrapped in plastic and ready to plant upon arrival. The plant will be between 12” to 14” in height with well-developed roots. These plants have been growing in one gallon containers. Planting guidelines will also be included.
