Fragaria Virginiana Wild Strawberry is a herbaceous perennial shrub with a ground-hugging growth habit.  Wild Strawberry prefers full sun to part shade and moist to dry-mesic, well-drained, fertile soils. It has trifoliate leaves with coarsely toothed leaflets.

Wild Strawberry blooms with 5-petaled white flowers with yellow-anthered center stamens from April to May. It produces ovoid, scheme-dotted fruits that mature to red. Wild Strawberry is suitable for ground cover or border.

Shipping

The plant will be approximately 2 to 3 inches in height with well-developed roots. These plants have been growing in 4 inch containers.  They will be shipped without the containers.  The roots and soil will be dampened and covered in plastic wrap prior to shipping. They will be ready to plant upon arrival.
