This aromatic, evergreen shrub produces masses of dark crimson blooms from spring to fall. Easy to grow, with a compact, rounded habit and exceptional tolerance for dry conditions. Ideal for mixed borders in sunny waterwise gardens, or displayed in patio containers. Evergreen in mild winter regions.

The Heatwave™ Series was developed in Australia in response to the need for plant material that was suitable to handle drought conditions common in certain areas of that country. This series is a bit more compact and rounded than the parent species. A wide range of attractive flowers are now available as part of the series.

Unfortunately, the names don't help much in describing the flower colors. Easy to maintain with a one to twice annual pruning to refresh and remove spent flowers. Removing spent flowers will prolong the bloom period and encourage regular reblooming throughout the growing season. Tolerant of a variety of growing conditions.

The plant is currently growing in a one gallon container, but will be shipped with the roots wrapped in damp paper towels and with plastic and ready to plant upon arrival. The plant will be between 8” to 10” in height. Planting guidelines will also be included.We are a full service licensed plant nursery (B2915001).
