'Bloody Cranes-bill' Geranium sanguineum

Bloody Crane's Bill, a resilient sun-loving Geranium, is highly favored for its low-maintenance nature and enduring blooms. Unlike their window-box counterparts, these hardy geraniums boast toughness and longevity, making them prized additions to gardens. Their compact stature and vibrant flowers, which can last for months, make them a gardener's delight.

Known collectively as Cranes Bill, they earn their name from the distinctive pointed seed pods post-flowering. Geranium sanguineum, dubbed bloody geranium, stands out with its striking red flowers and foliage that transforms into fiery hues come autumn. With heights ranging from one to two feet and spreading up to 24 inches, these flowering plants are cherished by many growers.
