Lemon Balm Plant

You will receive one rooted Lemon Balm Plant.

Your plant will be shipped with the roots wrapped in damp paper towels and with plastic and ready to plant upon arrival. The plant will be between 2” to 3” in height with well-developed roots.

This wonderfully lemon-scented member of the mint family adds a beautiful fragrance to the garden, serves as wonderfully scented foliage in a flower arrangement, or fits in well in teas or ice creams! Like any other mint, this plant likes regular water and can spread liberally if not contained. For this reason, we recommend planting Lemon Balm in a pot!

Growing Lemon Balm

The green leaves of the plan have the scent of lemon with a hint of mint, with leaves that look like oversized mint — no surprise, since lemon balm is part of the mint family. Lemon balm can grow 24 to 36 inches tall and makes a nice green clump of medium-textured leaves among the other herbs and flowers in your garden.

The plant looks best when it is cut back periodically, so plan to use lots of fresh, flavourful leaves to brew tea, flavour fruit or green salad, and season fish. Be sure to include stems in bouquets of summer flowers.
