Arizona Cypress Tree Cupressus arizonica

As the name suggests, this heat- and drought-tolerant cypress is native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. While it has a limited reach in terms of hardiness zones, the Arizona cypress is an excellent choice for windbreaks, erosion control, Christmas trees, and landscape ornamentals.

The Arizona cypress covers the largest natural range of the North American cypresses. It is found in west Texas, northwest Mexico, southwest New Mexico, south California, and southern Arizona. It has been successfully grown in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Florida panhandle, Tennessee, and in the Carolinas.

The wood of the Arizona cypress is hard, heavy and durable. It has been used as fence posts and as timbers in mine shafts. And today it has become a valued Christmas tree. It is primarily available at choose and cut Christmas tree farms in the south, southwest and along the east coast of the U.S. It is also used as a landscape plant in that same area.

You will receive one Arizona Cypress Tree.

Your tree will be shipped with the roots wrapped in damp paper towels and with plastic and ready to plant upon arrival. The plant will be approximately 4 to 5 feet in height with well-developed roots. These plants have been growing in 5 gallon containers.
