Apple Tree 'Red Delicious'

The Malus Domestica 'Red Delicious' - 'Red Delicious' Apple is one of Americas most popular apple varieties. With mild, sweet flavor, a long shelf life and the Red Delicious apple can be used for a variety of purposes such as eating fresh or making desserts. Produces medium to large size fruit with ruby red skin. During the springtime, this tree blooms small white to pink flowers.

Red Delicious apples need to be cross-pollinated with another variety of apple in order for it to bear fruit, such as, Yellow Delicious, Gala, Fuji, or Jonagold. Fruit begins to ripen and is ready to harvest in September to mid-October.

Full sun to partial sun.

Attracts birds, bees and butterflies.
